Every Child Ready to Read (ECRR) is an early literacy education initiative for parents and caregivers of children birth through age five. Learning to read begins before children start school. Helping your children develop early literacy skills now makes it easier for them to learn to read.

Tip of the Month

Children learn to think symbolically through pretend play. Read NOT A BOX by Antoinette Portis, then find a cardboard box and decide what your “not-a-box” should be.  What a fun way to develop early literacy skills!
